Nigel Laing is a Canadian photographer working primarily with digital processes. His current work explores the changes taking place in communities across the Canadian Arctic through documentary–based photographs. While working primarily in photography, Laing has also incorporated video, sound and other media in his engagement with various subjects. Laing’s work been highlighted in magazines such as Photo Life Exposures, and showcased at art festivals such as the Works Festival in Edmonton, Alberta. He is also an active member of the Canadian Association of Photographic Art. Currently, Nigel Laing resides in Vancouver, British Columbia for the winter months and spends the fall and autumn months working as an expeditor in the Canadian Arctic.
