This series of photographs taken over a two-year period while in the Kitikmeot Region of Nunavut, in the western Canadian Arctic while I was working with an indigenous owned company, which provides northern communities with supplies and freight annually.
Above is a sampling of some of the work that came out of my time in Tuktoyaktuk in the summer months in 2010. Other communities visited included Cambridge Bay and Taloyoak, new work sprang from each.
The work took a different tone and focus, I found myself drawn more to the outskirts of settlements and focused more on the landscape.
